These past few days, we’ve been reminded of God’s plan when looking at the Christmas story.
That He was planning our redemption from day one.
And that His plan isn’t usually a straight line.
It’s comforting to remind ourselves that our God has always has good things planned – even though our lives take a lot of twists and turns.
Which leads us to today.
Because knowing God has a plan is great,
but sometimes we need to be reminded that His plans aren’t just wishful or hopeful thinking…
His plans will succeed.
His plans will come to pass.
“Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose.'” -Isaiah 46:8–10
Whether the plan of global redemption,
or the problems you’re going through right now.
God’s plans come to pass.
He knows what He’s doing.
And He loves you.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29–31
When Jesus was on earth, fulfilling the long-planned salvation of the world, He took the time to remind us that God values and loves us – even on an individual level.
Yes, you will fall
you will struggle
But God has His eye on you.
God’s love is towards you and for you,
and we know that His plans always succeed.
So, may you be reminded this Christmas, that He loves you.
That He has a plan, even now.
And His plan will succeed.
